What is EDT?
Times are changing in Ireland and the same can be said about the learner driver training sector. Now more than ever getting quality driving school tuition at the right price is surely the priority especially with the new graduated licensing that has been introduced for new learners.
This new initiative has now been introduced entitled Essential Driver Training (EDT) which basically stipulates that learner drivers looking to sit the driving test can only do so after they have completed 12 driving lessons. Dublin driving schools have had to adapt to this new initiative which has instructed driving instructors around the country that these 12 one hour lessons must follow a strict driving syllabus and be combined with private practice. These 12 one hour driving lessons must also be spread over a 6 month period, all in bid to improve driving standards in young drivers and drivers in general across the country.
